We are fascinated by the sea, by reefs and all the textures under the sea. The silence as soon as you go under as far as the eye can see.
We love to discover textures on the island and to collect them. To examine natural materials and to immortalise them into metal. Shells, stones, washed up wood and roots, sometimes we find stones that have been perforated by salt or barnacles, it is interesting for us to see how much the sea works and what it leaves behind. We collect textures with care, we don’t want to harm nature here, because no matter how beautiful the texture of the stone or the shell is, who knows whose home it could be, or which crab might have moved in there. It is important to preserve such treasures.
The Island Collection
Water, Sand & Texture
Inspired by the magnificence of an island. Tranquillity from water, sand and stones, between shine and structure to catch a light. The light around us. Jewellery that leaves a feeling on the skin through the touch, a story of textures and the possibility to capture them and let them shine.
Sepia & Marine
Our Marine Rings in combination with the Sepia Pearl Ring. The Sepia Pearl Ring is unique. This piece is cast in a sepia shell. The way of casting is really difficult because we have to catch the right time and temperature at the moment our silver is melted. Only one attempt is possible in this natural casting process. A moment in which you have to work precisely to cast the ring in one piece, closed. The special thing about this technique is the incredibly texture. It shows the lines and structures of the sepia shell. After casting, the shape is lost, so it is never possible to create exactly the same texture. That’s what we like best about this process, the chance of a unique result.
